atmosphere

The fact is that the amount of space we live in is a minimal amount in relation to the size of the planet but the constant vortices from our movements and our lifestyle makes it finite. the circumference of the atmosphere minus the circumference of the planet and some simple maths will tell us how long we have to change. It shows up also how slow "democracy" is to take up the challenge. The term "GLOBAL WARMING" is decades old(see wikipedia) old but politicians who are in "control" of our habitats are only now reacting. If there was a world catastrophe then only a few could possibly survive and we know who they are.The rest would decend into chaos.

global warming

funny thing about 'global warming' and the general public. most often, when i engage in a conversation with a person in public, the people whom i have randomly gotten engaged with conversationally over 'global warming' have overwhelmingly denounced it. and this is before i bring my immense knowledge out into the 'open' on the subject. I suppose what i am saying in a long round-about way is the only people who 'believe in' 'global warming' are the liberal scientists who are advocating 'global warming' for their own greed, the liberal politicians, who would benefit by staying in power thru taxation of the general public of their money to appease the 'global warming' gods, and last but not least, the liberal journalists who believe they are in journalism to 'make a difffence' in society. It took me only two years to research and a little logic to come to terms with what 'global warming' is and is not. Since i could do this in relatively a short amount of time, why is it the liberals cannot do the same? How is it that I, a non-scientist could discern that 'global warming' is a hoax? And, not only is it a hoax, but that it is perpetrated on us by our fellow human beings. Let me be plain. In other words, our liberal fellow humans have turned on us to try to scare us into believing something that ins't true. These actions by a few liberal politicians and journalists and scientists are using the same tactics that are used on the elderly to get them to part with their money. Those liberals who are participating in this scam should be ashamed. And the rest of us should be ashamed to be asleep to allow this to happen. Knowing liberals as i do, i know they do not know or understand shame, so this won't bother them

You've got to be INSANE pal

You've got to be INSANE pal to say that, i live in argentina, i remember the times when the climate was soft, light summers, light winters here.

The last summer here, the temperature reached 45 degrees here (unheard of, at least in my lifetime) and the winter went by with snow, yes, snow in buenos aires and the rest of argentina, more than 15 places (providence) including more than 1500km wide with snow, UNHEARD of in my lifetime...

how can you SAY THAT and THINK you ARE RIGHT, that, this is a hoax, listen pal, last week, we had a TORNADO, right in front of our face, this NEVER HAPPENED before, not so near a city, the climate here is going to hell, our ANTARTIDA is melting like rapid fire and you STILL think this is a hoax? my god, you ARE the one that is asleep.

INSANE

Daniel,

No one is saying the Earth didn't warm during the 20th century. THe Earth actually cooled A LOT over the last year even though CO2 emmissions rose. Please argue the science, not observations about nature. Your, or anyone else's, lifetime represents such a uncalculably small percentage of time so as to merit your obervations worthless. The science is falling apart at the seams and what is INSANE is to mindlessly follow policy's and regulations that will devestate the US and other economy's for a worthless cause.

So called Antarctica melting

Daniel from Argentina is the insane one if he actually believes Antarctica (Daniel, try getting a dictionary) is melting. Virtually all studies show the continent has NOT been warming, and in fact the ice mass is getting thicker. There is some minor melting on the Wilkins Ice Shelf in the western part of the continent, a very tine portion of the continent, and that has nothing to do with global warming. "Melting like rapid fire?" That's simply flat out false. Of course, the data tells us that average global temps overall have not increased in years, and last year we had the biggest one year drop in decades. Those are the facts, Daniel. The temperatures you've experienced in your lifetime, as you say, are not a measure of whether or not we have global warming caused by CO2, for God's sake. The temperature has been going up and down for many thousands of years.

David.

Antartica is melting and you are obviously too ignorant to realise that fact. It is true that Antartica does melt a little each year during a certain period of time, but nowadays, more ice is melting and there are longer periods of time when the ice melts. And some of the ice never freezes up again. So next time, take a look at what is right in front of your face and don't comment on what you don't know. I am only fourteen, yet it seems I know more about these things than you do.

Thanks for your comment

It would be nice to be able to just here some facts, not, theory's. This is OUR planet and if we as a human species do nothing to protect ourselves then we have nobody to blame but ourselves. We sit and wait until the government we are under decides to do something. If we all stand together for what we believe in, the greatest of things can happen. We need to put aside our differences and make our governments act as one for the planet and politic later. Every country has their own issues but one common issue we have is the warming of the planet. We are going to have less food, less water, more poverty and death......there has to be something we can do as a human population to put some pressure on the political groups that rule us.

You are a fool because only

You are a fool because only a fool would believe that everything is all right with our world. It is die hard dumb ass thinking like your, that will lead to our destruction. Bring it on, because I can’t wait to see this world fall down around you. The Xmerican.

There is an old saying that

There is an old saying that goes like this: When they start calling you names, you will know you've won the argument.

Even if it were a hoax...

Hi,
Let's say I agree with you, Global warming is a hoax. Al Gore did say a lot of lies in his movie apparently (I did not see it myself) so I will agree with you for now. That being said, most of the solutions proposed to fight global warming are just plain good habits that we should all take. Because no matter if it's real or not, we know that non-renewable resources will not last forever, potable water could be missing, forests shrink more and more, etc... so, in general we all agree that it's good to reduce unnecessary consumption and re-use what we can, etc. So, why try to convince people that global warming is fake? But anyway, I did do a lot of research like you did, reading sites from both side, sites that are saying it's a hoax and sites saying it's not a hoax. And I came to the opposite conclusion. So, no, it's not because you did your own little research that you're right. My biggest argument why I came to this conclusion : I have still not found a single source of information saying that it is a hoax that come from people working on the field, in nature... seriously, anybody working close to nature agree with the risk s of global warming. The ones who disagree alway rely on charts or talking of other people... but people who say it's true also use charts and other people's talking to confirm their points, PLUS they get feedback from people working on the field.
Cheers.
